Durban (South Africa) : a pleasant melting pot

Have you ever been stopped while driving into a city to be invited to dinner? In Durban it happened and of course it was a braai. Johan and Madelene are motorcycle enthusiasts and spoilt us for the evening at their house.
One could say that, if anywhere, in Durban Asia and Europe meet Africa. The samoosas compete with the best in India, the "Bunny Cow" (curry in a hollowed out loaf of white bread) is great and the mood is positive. Durban seems to be booming slightly (not only because of tourism), outside the city centre anyway. The big thing downtown are the car sales. And on top of that there are beaches and the surf's up.
