Vilanculo (Mozambique) : down to the Indian Ocean

Mozambique is vast and it was almost another 500 kilometres to Vilanculos, the country’s prime tourist destination with the Bazaruto Archipelago just off shore. It was an easy cruise as the Chinese have just resurfaced the road. We were a little disappointed with the beach and weather, however, and thus kept our stay short. In addition the place is quite touristy and the atmosphere has as a result been adversely affected (as usual).
