Nkhudzi Bay (Malawi) : tranquility

S14°10.386' E034°59.929' (altitude: 471m)
Our plan was to go to Cape Mc Clear, a magical place located at the head of a 30 kilometre long peninsula which juts into the southern end of Lake Malawi. It’s a must see, but with growing popularity it has lost some character. We found a little paradise on the east side of the peninsula, camping on the shore in something like a botanical garden. Spectacular sunrises to the calls of fish eagles and swims in the mirror-flat water captured us. The people of the nearby village went about their daily business in harmony with the peaceful environment. And having the place to ourselves, we felt privileged to be in such a beautiful, and tranquil place. There is no need to own an island in the Caribbean.
