Limbe, Mile 8 (Cameroon) : black sand oasis
N 04°01.896' E 009°05.603'
We didn‘t get much sunshine and blue sky, but the rest about the beach resort 15 kilometres west of Limbe was spectacular. We pitched our tent on the thick lawn under palm trees of the well kept garden-like beach area set between a creek and the black sand beach. With a cone-shaped volcanic mountain behind us, the warm ocean in front of us, the catch of the day from local fishermen for our lunch and cold beer to watch the quarter finals of the World Cup, there was little more we could ask for!
