Ikom (Nigeria) : in “The People’s Paradise”

Eventually we got all our cyber space activities done despite the sporadic connection and power failures. Calabar had grown on us, but we were keen to see more of what is known as “The People’s Paradise”. Without the tyres to load we were ready in no time and soon cruising through the lush vegetation towards the Cameroon border via Ikom (the more direct route was not an option as one bridge had collapsed!). We experienced more Nigerian hospitality en route as everytime ae took a short break people would stop to ask us if we had any sort of problem.
