Lubango (Angola) : freezing in Africa
S 14°54.878' E 013°29.809' (altitude: 1747 m)
There were a few more thousand pot-holes and some must-be-seen-to-be-believed stretches of deteriorated tar road on the way to Lubango. What is even more incredible is that container-hauling trucks also use these routes! Lunbango was did not directly suffer destruction during the war and its infrastructure is in a relatively good state. In the surrounding area we even saw active agriculture and cattle farms. Set high up in the southern Angolan plateau the nights were bitterly cold – but the skies beautifully clear.
